Default trying to replace rear motor mount

Took my car into the shop because of a vibration on the steering wheel/dash when stopped at a stoplight/stop sign and the car wasin D4. I suspected it was one of the motor mounts; turns out it was the rear mount gone bad. He ordered a new one from Honda and the bolt holes aren't lining up with the one that's currently on the car. He suspected they just packaged up the wrong part, so he ordered another one. Same thing....right package, but the part still doesn't match. He's calling around and sending pics to other Honda dealers trying to figure out what's goin on. Has anyone heard of this before, and how should he go about replacing the mount? I believe he's saying the old mount has a square bolt pattern, where the new mount has a trapezoidal bolt pattern (or vice versa, I'm not positive on that).

He might be ordering the wrong part.... call a honda dealership and ask them for the part number you need and compare that to the one you have.....

You can also call your local AutoZone and ask them your question and then get their stock number to see why your isn't matching up...

Ok...for anyone interested...I said I'd let you know what happens on this motor mount issue. Someone hadinstalled a k-member and rear motor mount from a 4 cyl. engine onto the car. That's why the mount he kept ordering never matchedup. Anyway...turns out the arm from the motor that attaches to the mount was rubbing against a metal shield atop the mount; thus causing the noise and vibration. He removed the mount, cut off a portion of that shield, and reinstalled. Noise and vibration gone. Saved me $150 by not having to install a new mount.
