I have a 1995 Accord LX. The driver's power window will roll down but, not back up. My gut felling is that it is the switch. All the other windows work just fine.

I want to use a wire jumper to close the connection to see if the window will power up.

Attached is a pic of the connector. Can anyone tell me which pins to short to power the window up?

Connect the GRN/WHT (#7) to the RED/BLU (#10) and the RED/YEL (#8) to the BLK (#10) and the key on, window should go down.

 

To add for pin numbers. Bottom left (in your pic) is Pin #1, and then number up so there are six pins in that row, pin #7 is to the right of pin #1 (in your pic bottom right) and count up that row, total of eight in that row.....make sense?

 

Can you tell me what pins to short to make it go UP?

Aw, now you are going to make me work a bit....give me a minute.....need to verify before letting you know.

 

Did you hear a clunk when the power window was going down and then just went down and couldn't come back up? Or did it just go down like normal (i.e., smoothly, no clunk)?

If it went down with a clunk and stayed down, it may be that the window regulator/motor assembly needs to be replaced. But, sometimes it the switch.

A more sure test of the motor is to take off the door panel and apply direct battery power to the 4-P connector. To make it go up and down, see this thread:

Window rolls down smoothly. My guts are screaming it's a switch but, you never know! My wife will tell you I've been wrong once or twice!

 

Alright, the GRN/WHT is the + (should be hot at all times with the key on) and the BLK is - at all times....even with key off. So to go up they switch.


GRN/WHT to RED/YEL and BLK to RED/BLU......

Just so I don't send everything up in flames. I short both of those sets of wires -I connect GRN/WHT to RED/YEL and connect BLK to RED/BLU at the same time to make the window go UP?
