99 Accord EX Engine Cranks but won't start
We have a 99 Accord EX. On occasion, the engine will crank but not start. If you let the car sit about 5 minutes or so, it will start. It doesn't do this all the time, just periodically. Any suggestions?

im having kinda the same problem along with many other ones. lol but there are alot of problems that have solutions on the site if you take some time to look over the site you might be able to find the solution. some times its the starter switch, on my car i know its under the dash in a aluminum box, but on yours im not sure. sorry if im not much help but im sure someone will be along soon to help you out more. it may take a day or so but so far ive had some real good suggestions on what to do with my problems.

If it was your immobilizer your car would not crank at all.

when car does not start you need to diagnose if it is lack of spark or lack of fuel.........

RE: 99 Accord EX Engine Cranks but won't start
My 98 Accord has not started (cranked, spark at the plugs, power throughout the car, and getting fuel) twice the last 3 weeks when it had been parked for a while and hot (80's) outside. After about 10 min. the car would start I'm going to replace the main relay as suggested by Deserthonda's reply which included a link to a very helpful web site.
Good luck.

Ok it's been almost 4 weeks now with the new Main Relay and no problems starting it in hot weather after sitting all day with the windows rolled up. Good luck...........
