Question P2185 - 06 Accord Ex 4 Cylinder

Hello all,

This morning I was driving to a customer and my 06 Accord Ex 4 Cylinder displayed the CEL with code P2185. What causes this code? I'm tied up with work and am about to drive several hundred miles in the next two days and I'm not headed home before then. I can't find much on this code (I read it with my ScanGauge II). What can I do to troubleshoot?
Will I cause damage to my vehicle?

Thanks for the help in advance,

GSchmelt

P2185 = engine coolant temperature sensor #2 high voltage.
That sensor is in the lower tank of the radiator (#10 in the picture). Earlier (2003-2004??) that was a fan switch, but by 2006 that's an actual sensor wired to the ECU.

Dont forget to check for crossed wires or bad connections. But normally that would cause LOW reading, not high.

Not sure what you could damage, but I suspect it's mostly for radiator fan control. Beware of sitting & idling. Otherwise, when the car is actually moving there's plenty of air pushed through the radiator. But keep an eye on the temperature gauge.
