A 5x114.3mm 20" wheel will work, but offset is figured from the width of the wheel as well. I'd take a look around driveaccord.net, v6performance.net, and 8thaccord.org for pics and fitments.

Stock offset is +55mm though.

What's the width of the rims and what can you use as far as offset and width where the rim will fit?

No clue. You can use any offset you want, it just depends on how you want the wheels to look. Sounds like you have some reading to do on wheel fitment.

I'm completely new to wheel/tire fitment so I was wondering if someone could quickly explain it.

I have a friend who said that a wheel with a lower offset say 35 vs 55 could potentially lead to issues later on.

So could someone just explain how to go about picking a wheel and if there are other things that can be done to compensate for a difference in offset?

Thanks.

Can't really compensate for a too-low offset. The correct way (if you were manufacturing the wheel) is to design the spokes so the tire sits more inboard.

Check these out, from TireRack...

seriously, dont get wider wheels on the back. they dont do anything on a fwd car besides add weight. UNless youve got 250+hp and you are riding on stiff springs with thick swqay bars, it's not gong to do anything besides slow u down
