noise when turning steering wheel
ok whats wrong with my car
when the car is ON and i turn the steering wheel it feels really hard and it makes noise like grinding
but when i turn the car off and turn the wheel it turns fine with no noise so wtf ?

i dont know the car been pared for a month and before that i rememver hearing it just for 2seconds a day now i turned the car on after a month and it would stop and its crazy loud ill take a video next time sounds like metal on metal... someone told me iots the balljoint but when the car is off i can turn it just fine so it cant be the ball joint so i thas to be the power steerring pump but how do i find out for sure because there is fluid in there and i can see the fluid moving around in there so i have no idea

Well belt squeal sounds like nails on a chalkboard or metal on metal. Sounds like maybe the belt might have enough slack or is worn enough to squeal when the pump is running.
